VIBRANT 1870's Vintage Turkey Red & Green Applique Peony Antique Quilt ~MINT!
This CRISP, STURDY cotton 1860's/1870's turkey red and green peony quilt is hand pieced, hand appliqued and hand quilted.

It measures 76" X 76" and is in mint, unwashed condition, with the occasional small, faint age spot and no wear.
There is quilting around the piecework and applique and in floral designs in the background, all at an even 8-9 stitches to the inch.
The back and treadle machine stitched binding are white, and the batting is thin. You can see cotton seed residue inside when you hold the quilt up to the light.
The VIBRANT COLORS, SMALL SCALE, and REMARKABLE CONDITION make this 19th century COLLECTOR'S QUILT stand out!
