ISLAMIC MUGHAL WARRIOR HELMET ARABIC INSCRIPTION FLORALDESIGN ENGRAVED .

Made :Made of heavy iron , hand hammered and chiseled , engraved.

Arabic : At bottom rim & at nas guard of helmet has hand engraved Arabic calligraphy from holy book Koran to invoke God's power and blessing to win battle.

Skull : Bears an elaborate chiseled engraving over its entire surface with floral & creeper design.

Type : Armor, warrior helmet.

Nasal Guard : Retractable nose guard to give protection to the center of face., adjustable & sliding .

Chain mail : Helped to deflect a blow to the back of the head and neck.

Spike : Finial at the crest of the helmet is flanked by the pair of the plumb holders.

The interior is well padded with cushion.

This makes this helmet adding dramatic detailing to this incredible piece of armor.

Condition few tiny loss to chain mail and some scattered stains on brass chainmail.

An interesting helmet showing the influence of other cultures.Circa Qajar period 18th.-19th.c century.
