1st century BC-1st century AD. A bronze dragonesque brooch with enamelled panels to the body, curved body with split tail, neck pierced to accept the pin. Cf.Hattatt, R. Ancient Brooches and Other Artefacts, Oxford, 1989, item 1655. 5.1 grams, 39mm (1 1/2"). Found near Kirkburn, East Yorkshire, UK, 1990.
