3rd-4th century AD. A group of two bronze prick spurs comprising: one with lozenge-shaped hollow point on a rectangular plaque with red enamelled panels, incised line decoration to both sides, round attachment studs with red enamel; one with lozenge-shaped point, three studs to the inner face to accept leather strap. 29.6 grams total, 50-60mm (2 - 2 1/2"). From the family collection of a South East London collector; formerly acquired in the late 1950s. [2, No Reserve]
