Pri Megadim Lemberg 1828. Copy of the Ga'on Rabbi Shlomo Zeev Klein. Rabbi Shlomo Ze'ev (Wolf) Klein [1814-1867] Av Beit Din of Kalamhar, rabbi of Wormser, Bischheim, Dirmenach, Riksheim, Kolmar, and Galilee communities, was one of the leading Orthodox rabbis who opposed Reform and halachic changes. In 1859 he joined Rabbi Hirsch when he attacked Zechariah Frenkel with the publication of his book "Darkei Mishneh" in the controversy that led to the rift with the first Conservative.
