Italian Carved Alabaster Paperboy on Pedestal

ca. 1900, the boy shouting "extra, extra" and clenching a bundle of newspapers in one arm, on a carved spiral-twist alabaster pedestal.

In "as found" condition. There is a small glued repair to a corner of the newspapers under his left arm. Small minor flaking along the bottom edge. Small chips to the back side of the newspapers. Other minor imperfections. The surface has darkened with age. The pedestal has small nicks and dings. A minor repair at one of the sections under the top.
