Description

Two vintage Scalamandre silk hand prints: 1) 18 1/2 yards of early 1990s Scalamandre hand printed silk taffeta, "Pompegrande", #6486 - special, in two lengths, of 11 1/4 yards and 7 yards. Inspired by a Naples hand brocade, the 7 colors on chocolate ground have repeats of 14" vertical by 24" horizontal across a 48" printed width. 2) 3 3/4 yards of Scalamandre's "Jour de Juin", #11096-1, multi on white silk taffeta. Repeats of 25" by 25" across a 50" width. The vintage lengths were woven and hand-printed in the historic Long Island, NY mill.
