Antique Victorian Etruscan Revival 14K amethyst brooch with matching earrings. The brooch has three round faceted amethysts with approximately 5.0 total carat weight. In the middle of the center amethyst is a gold star with a rough flat faceted diamond measuring 1.7mm across.

There is gold rope fringe hanging from the bottom of the brooch. It has a C clasp and an additional hook on the bottom of the brooch. It measures 2.5" long including the fringe and is 1 5/8" wide. The thickest point is 1/2" thick, and it weighs 7.7dwt. It comes with a matching pair of round faceted amethyst earrings with approximately 1.75 total carat weight. They measure 5/16" in diameter and weigh 2.3dwt. The amethysts have been modified with contemporary glued earring post backs. The post backs are not gold.

The diamond is chipped, there is some bending to parts of the gold scroll work  and a small filigree is broken off. The pin mechanism may not be original to the brooch. One earring post is bent.
