Description
A FRENCH NAPOLEON III ERA EBONIZED BRASS INLAID WALL CLOCK, CIRCA 1870, the hexagonal original glass over a brass and enamel inlaid face centered by an alabaster carved dial with ormolu mounted, enamel painted Roman numerals, key included. Height: 20" Width: 19" Depth: 5 1/2" Provenance: Estate of the late Charles A. and Betti F. Saunders, Houston, Texas.
Condition
Some oxidation to the arms is noted, and three cracks are observed to the alabaster dial, with some wear to the ebonized case. Very good condition.
