One large megalodon tooth fossil with mottled black and gray enamel and well-preserved serrations.
The megalodon (Carcharocles megalodon) lived 23 to 3.6 million years ago from the Early Miocene to the end of the Pliocene. The megalodon was the largest shark, as well as the largest fish, ever to have lived on earth, reaching sizes up to 59 feet in length. They had an average bite diameter of over nine feet, making them incredibly powerful and efficient predators. Dimensions: Slant height: 5 1/2 in; height: 5 in x width: 4 1/2 in x depth: 1/4 in.
