KANGXI PERIOD (1662-1722)
the central medallion decorated with a garden scene showing two roosters beneath flowering peonies issuing from rockworks, the border painted with shaped reserves enclosing auspicious symbols alternating floral scrolls against a bright green ground, the underside bearing a jue vessel-form mark in underglaze blue within a double ring.

Stable condition with three hairlines, one extending from exterior to interior rim, measuring 2 1/2 inches, one to the base, spreading from exterior to interior, measuring 2 inches at longest, and one to the exterior rim measuring 2 inches. Surface rubbing throughout.
