Finely painted 19th C. plate with scenic vignettes showing gentlemen playing a game of Go in a garden, figures walking in a mountain landscape, three gentlemen examining a scroll in a garden, and a figure or figures seated among rolling hills and trees. The scenes are divided by a gold ground covered with a profusion of fruits, flowers, butterflies, bats, and auspicious objects, all in vibrant famille rose enamels. No chips, cracks, hairlines, or restorations. Approx. 6 1/4" in diameter.
