This is a deluxe AROC (Artist Recreation on Canvas) Giclee on canvas, which is basically a normal Giclee that has been enhanced by the artist, Bill Lopa, by hand-embellishing each item, making each piece unique. An avid sports fan, Lopa chose to concentrate his art on what he loved in a genre he found both challenging and enjoyable: kinetic impressionism. Working in acrylics, Lopa uses a "splatter" technique where the colors are applied with a palette knife. The use of bold colors and splatter captures the image and spirit of an athlete in motion. This piece featuring the "Dallas Cowboys" running back legend is signed in bold silver by Emmitt Smith, also adding his number "22". Signed also by Lopa in the lower right corner and numbered in the lower left corner "AROC 19/22". Professionally stretched and mounted, this measures 31" x 40". Original issue price was $3500.
