Fine American Classical Carved Rosewood, Alabaster and Brass Inlaid Work Table, Boston, 1820-1830, drop-leaf top with brass inlaid reserves, fitted drawer with drawer and work basket below, mounted columnar legs, incurvate plinth, dolphin-carved ebonized feet; together with oil on tin of General Eusebio Guilarte, table h. 30 in., w. 24 in., d. 18 in.; painting 18 in. x 14 in.Note: Each drop leaf is inscribed with brass inlay “Ala/Snta:Julia./Wadington” and “El/General/Guilarte.” The table was possibly commissioned as a gift from Julia Wadington to General Eusebio Guilarte of Bolivia.
