Postcards & Journals, New York City, 1920s, 1960s, Includes: Bound journal 1922-1926 of Erich Cohn, mostly English with some German; box of postcards, mostly used, from all over the world to or from either Gilbert Ireland or Robert Galster, most 1960s, 1970s, some earlier; with a group of loose pages and a spiral bound notebook of Ireland's journal entries and some typed manuscript, earliest dated 1954.

Provenance: The Estate of Gilbert Ireland, NY

Notes/Literature: Erich Cohn (1890-1972) was President of A. Goodman & Sons, manufacturer of egg noodles, matzoh and other foods; Robert Galster (1923-1991) and Gilbert Ireland (1924-2015) were designers and alumni of Parsons School of Design. Galster worked as a freelance illustrator and designer. Ireland designed window displays for Bergdorf Goodman for over forty years.
