Description
English sterling silver tea set with hallmarks of CSH(Charles Stuart Harris)and additional hallmarks of the profile of Queen Victoria, date letter F for 1881, and the leopard's head uncrowned for London. 84.9 t. oz. Tallest teapot is 9" high./////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////CORRECTION(6/7/19): The largest teapot has different marks. It has RH for a maker's mark(Robert Hennell II), not CSH, and a different date letter(K), for 1865.The design and appearance is a perfect match./////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////Speculation:I believe someone in 1881 brought the teapot that was made by Robert Hennell II in 1865 to Charles Stuart Harris and asked him to make the other pieces to match. They are a perfect match.
