Description
Gillinder 1876 Expo Goblet & 2 Give us this Day Our daily Bread Plates
A 3 Piece Mold Goblet with a banner/festoon design reading "Centennial 1876"
Goblet is 7.25" tall
Platters are 12.25" across and featured around the rim is spelled out "Give us this day our daily bread" & Wheat bundles on handles
1 has Plymouth Rock 1620 Rev War 1776 and a ship with 1876--The glass is rippled in one area from being made and other mold marks, but only damage is a chip on base lip.
1 has an Eagle with "Liberty and Freedom 1776" and Constitution of the United States in Eagle's claw--This one has some surface scratches and a bump of extra glass on inside rim along with a few small chips.
We were originally informed that all of these American Centennial items were made by Gillinder & Sons, but we are finding that many are Adams Glass plus a few Fenton, LE Smith and others mixed in. We have worked to identify the different patterns and manufacturers, but please confirm the manufacturer if it is important to you. Also- remember these were souvenirs made nearly 150 years ago and you can see manufacturing imperfections on many of these type of items. We do our best to describe.
