Judea > Bar Kokhba revolt, (132-136): zuz/silver denarius, undated but attributed to Year Three (134-135 CE); size: 19mm; weight: 3.2g. Obverse: legend "Shim'on" within wreath device of 8 almonds & medallion at top, tendrils at bottom, with pairs of dots between each section - and some text of original Emperor Trajan coin planchet on which this piece was struck. Reverse: legend "For the Freedom of Jerusalem" + fluted jug with handle on left and curved willow branch at right; similar to Hen-1427, this combination of dies unlisted in Mildenberg. Hammered edges.
