18th Century handcolored aquatint engraving of the British Racehorse Babraham.
Title: Portraiture of Babraham.
Name of owner, details of pedigree and race records.
Babraham was the son of one of the three foundation sires of the modern thoroughbred: GODOLPHIN ARABIAN.
Painted by Thomas Spencer (1700-1763) and engraved by Richard Houston.
Dimensions: Framed: 18 1/4 in. x 20 3/4 in., Sight: 12 1/2 in. x 14 1/2 in.
Condition: good original framed condition (not examined out of frame).
Provenance: private estate.
