Description
A Chinese round, black chicken bone jade plaque carved with a lotus flower on one side and a seed pod with leaves and a butterfly on the other. The plaque comes with a wooden stand and dates from the Ming dynasty or even earlier.
Dimensions are: 2 3/4 inches in diameter. All measurements are approximate.
Condition: It is in good condition with a 3mm chip to one lobe of the exterior.
Provenance: From Mr. Chu in Coronado, CA, bought in Hong Kong prior to the 1980s.
