NO RESERVE. This Sculpture consists of Emerald & Black Tourmaline composites. Known as "Bondage", it represents the hard life of Miners in their search for precious stones. The Emerald crystals protruding from it are too numerous to count. One must wonder of the hidden value of the Emerald crystals alone. Many measuring nearly 1.5 inches in width and 3 inches in length. It was discovered in a Hand Dug Mine nearly 1,000 feet deep in Brazil and taken out as one large rock. The Sculptor is known as Paulo, a well known rock sculptor in Brazil decades ago. It is truly one of a kind. It measures appx 10 inches in height, 12 inches in length and 6 inches in depth. The Owner found it deep in the jungle decades ago and managed to purchase it in its present state. It has never been on the market prior to our Representation of it. Having been reviewed reviewed by various gemologists, their common comment is the fact that there are hundreds of carats of quality Emerald stones literally protruding from the sculpture and the fact that it mat contain literally thousands of carats of Emerald stones within the sculpture itself and not exposed. The Owner has reached a point in life where he feels his collection must be reduced and is downsizing. This sculpture is being sold as a piece of art and not for its intrinsic value of additional emeralds "locked" up in it. It well may possess 50 times its value being asked if it were to be surgically evaluated. It has been recommended to the Owner by various entities to do just this. His love of the Sculpture will not allow him to accomplish this. There is no Reserve on this piece and the Opening Bid will buy it.
