Modeled as the English folk hero, seated with flagon and horn. The first reference to Robin Hood appeared in the 14th century. The legendary hero of English folklore and subsequent literature and film was depicted as being a skilled archer and swordsman, often told as having fought in the Crusades before returning to find his lands taken by the Sheriff. As in this highly detailed figurine, the outlaw is traditionally depicted dressed in Lincoln green, and is said to have robbed from the rich and given to the poor.
