Description
Elizabeth Taylor
Londra 1932 – West Hollywood 2011
Photograph on wooden surface, 71 x 60 cm
Dedication of the famous actress on a photograph printed on wooden surface. Wearing her "Cleopatra" costume the part she played in the movie by the same name, co-starring with Rex Harrison in the role of Julius Caesar and Richard Burton as Mark Anthony. The making of the film was particularly fraught: filming began in 1960 under the direction of Rouben Mamoulian, but after a few weeks it had to be interrupted due to Elizabeth Taylor's health problems. Finally the whole set had to be dismantled and completely rebuilt in Rome. The production resumed in 1961 Joseph L. Mankiewicz directing and the film was released in 1963. It is the most expensive film in the history of cinema.
