Signed in the plate, with engraved title below the image and credits above. Printed on medium weight, fine-grained, cream wove paper. Published by H. Humphreys, St. James Street, London, 1810. With a second etching titled ''Matis at D-wn-ng College / Cambridge'' on verso.
Note: Description and comment from M. Dorothy George, ''Catalogue of Political and Personal satires in the British Museum'', VIII, 1947: They are (impossibly) identified as Lady Grace (i.e. Frances) Tollemache, Lady Jane Halliday (d. 1802), and Lady Louisa Manners, afterwards Countess Dysart (i.e. daughters of the 4th Earl of Dysart). They are perhaps the subjects of No. 11594, who if correctly identified are the grand-daughters of Louisa, Countess Dysart 'suo jure' (1745-1840).
