A Japanese Samurai Military Sword Signed Sword with Scabbard, the tang with foundry and 5 character marks, confiscated in the Hiroshima area by the U.S. Army's Officer Henry Hart in 1945. Dimensions: the blade 24" L, overall 39" L
Property descended through the family by C. Lester Walker and Mary Walker in China in the 1920's. Mary was the daughter of Franz August Larson, known as "the Duke of Mongolia" Lester was a teacher at Yale in China, Mary born and raised in China, their marriage took place there in 1927.
