On the printed stationery of Publishers Faber and Faber Limited, Eliot states `..since although I had long given up questioning you on the subject, I had not forgotten the proposed edition of the Lyall (corrected by Eliot) Lisle letters. I knew that you had great difficulty in getting on with this work during the War, and I hoped that you had not abandoned it altogether.´ further concluding `… I shall certainly not decline to allow my name to be used as a patron of this programme.´ An interesting letter referring to Viscount Lisle correspondence. With a file hole to the upper left corner not affecting the text.
