A wand with tapering bronze shank and bone handle; the shank hexagonal in section with lotus leaf detailing and incised scrolls, gilt finial of an open hand (to receive libations?), handle with integral carved collar. 113 grams, 21.5cm (8 1/2"). Property of a South African lady; formerly in the private collection of Dr. Frederick Lorch, Swiss geologist and author on Egyptian antiquities, and managing director of S.A. Minerals Corporation; acquired from the early 1960s to the early 1980s; thence by descent to the current owner. [No Reserve]
