Pursell, Weimer (American, 1906 – 1974). World’s Fair Chicago. See Fifteen Foreign Villages. Chicago: Neely Printing Co., 1934. A beautifully colored, American Art Deco designed window card highlighting the foreign villages at the fair. Silkscreen. 21 x 14”. Complete corner tears and soiling to margins; one tear slightly affecting image. Closed tear to center; affecting the upper lettering on the image. Minor creasing, scuffs, and abrasions. C+. Mounted on heavy card stock; as issued. Pursell studied at the Art Institute of Chicago and produced some of the finest American Art Deco designs, making his work extremely scarce.
