Description
Circa 1867 lithographic print of George Washington as a Freemason. He was the first President of the United States and was initiated into Freemasonry in 1752. He was named Master in the Virginia charter in 1788. This print includes portraits of Masons Andrew Jackson and the Marquis de Lafayette, as well as biblical scenes and Freemason symbols. Washington is wearing a Masonic apron symbolizing innocence and sacrifice. He is holding the trowel, another traditional masonry tool. Measures 22-in. x 17.125-in. sheet size. G-VG/VG.
