Description
(Disneyland, 2001) A very rare set of (10) pins featuring the decorative trash cans seen throughout Disneyland. Famously, in 1955, Walt Disney did not like the idea that guests were able to see the refuse in the trash cans within his park. Walt asked if the trash cans could be built with hinged flaps that would hide the trash from sight, and an entirely new concept in trash can design was created. Each of these pins represents a different land or attraction, such as "Fantasyland", "Haunted Mansion", "Small World", "ToonTown", and more. Framed with the 10 trash can pins are a Sleeping Beauty Castle pin, a Main Street mailbox pin, an admission ticket pin, and a "Keep it Clean" pin. The framed set measures 9"x11" and is in very good condition with little wear. Included with the pins is a card that describes what land or attraction each pin is from, and an envelope for the card.
