(Field Newspaper, 1961) A collection of (3) original comic strip panels on two sheets of paper that were created by Al Smith for the comic series "Mutt and Jeff". Smith's work on the comic strip lasted nearly 50 years, and these hand-drawn panels beautifully capture the style and humor of the series. The sheets measure 6.25"x10.25" and 4.25"x7" and are in fair to good overall condition with some wear and spots of adhesive discoloration. The 2-panel comic page appears to be trimmed at the right edge, as it likely had additional panels. The 2-panel comic is personalized "To Alan" and is signed by Smith.
