A Nicoya monochrome shoe pot, Costa Rica, AD 1200 - 1550, with little applique hallucinogenic buttons/adornos on either side and a small zoomorphic applique at the back. Attractive black/orange mottled surfaces with light deposits. 6 in x 5 3/8 in (15.2 x 16.4 cm). Ex Costa-Mejia collection, California.
