Late 19th century, white with elaborate gilt decoration, three border panels with bellflower decoration and a central scene that depicts a group of children dressed in blossoms and petals accompanied by three insects playing musical instruments.

Dimensions: 11 1/2" in diameter, 1 3/4" tall.

Provenance: From a Main Line collection.

There are a few short firing cracks (done in the making) that are evident from the reverse, this explains Meissen's designation for the piece as a "second". No damage or repairs, there is some expected wear to the gilt elements.
