Description
Waite C. Hoyt (1899-1984) Hoyt was the mainstay of six Yankees pennant winners in the 1920s. "Schoolboy" pitched three games in the 1921 World Series against the Giants and allowed only two runs, both unearned, over 27 innings, earning two of his six career World Series victories. He was a 1969 Hall of Fame inductee. Three 8" x 3" checks written and signed, First National Bank of Cincinnati, 1983. There are no cancellation on the face of any of the checks.
