Description
Chippendale mahogany tip and turn table having round dished top on birdcage, set on fluted and turned shaft, on tripod base with vine and floral carvings, ending in ball and claw feet.
ht. 27 in., top: 30" x 31"
Provenance: Joshua Huntington (1751-1821), Norwich, CT inventory lists one cherry table and one case of drawers, descended through family until purchased by Edith Huntington Wilson, who purchased Jabez Huntington's home in 1922 along with some furnishings, case of drawers and cherry table to niece, Sydney Stevens Williston 1939, to Clifford Evert Hale Whitlock to a private collection.
