Fifteen plates from 'Max Reinhardt and His Salzburg' by Lucie R. Sayler. Published by Brentano's, New York, 1925. These are from the first edition, limited to 259 copies, of which this is number 200, pencil signed by Sayler on the limitation leaf and pencil signed by Reinhardt at the foot of his introduction, pages included. Also included are the Title and List of Plates pages. The fifteen plates (of twenty) included here are: 1) Plate I - Franziskanerkirche and Dom from the Monchsberg. 2) Plate II - Leopoldskron, Home of Max Reinhardt, from the South. 3) Plate III - Hohensalzburg. 4) Plate V - North Facade of Schloss Leopoldskron. 5) Plate VI - Brunnhausgasse. 6) Plate VII - Franziskanergasse. 7) Plate VIII - The Untersberg from the Terrace of Schloss Leopoldskron. 8) Plate IX - Pfeifergasse. 9) Plate XI - The Gaisberg from the Grounds of Schloss Leopoldskron. 10) Plate XIII - Gisela-Kai. 11) Plate XIV - The Hercules-Pond of Leopoldskron. 12) Plate XV - Stift St. Peter. 13) Plate XVI - Kaltenhaustor. 14) Plate XVII - The St. Margarethenkapelle from the Catacombs. 15) Plate XIX - A Salzburger Farmhouse. All plates measure 16-in. x 12.375-in. except the title page, which measures 16-in. x 11.75-in. All pages are unframed, loose and not mounted or glued down. If lot is absent of a condition report, a condition report may be requested via email. Condition report is provided as an opinion only and is no guarantee as grading can be subjective.
