Description
An Aztec temple model and molded seated woman, AD 1400 - 1521, the temple roofed with central walled staircase and small door; remnants of white slip. H: 2 1/2 in (6.3 cm). The sitting figure wearing dress and an elaborate headdress, a necklace with central pendant around her neck. H: 2 1/4 in (5.7 cm). Remnants of white & cinnabar pigments. Ex Southern California private collection acquired in 1970's & 1980's.
