Item Details

Description

2 vintage museum quality insect specimens, Entomology mounted in shadow box frames for scientific study. Malayan Jungle Nymph (Heteropteryx dilatata) endemic to Malaysia and Thorny Devil (Eurycantha horrida) endemic to Australasia. The Malayan jungle nymph is counted as the heaviest stick insect in the world. Box approximately 11.25 x 9 x 1.25 in, Insect measures 5.5 inches from head to bottom of thorax, and including legs 8 x 6in. The Thorny Devil (Eurycantha horrida) is a female phasmid endemic to Australasia, and comes from a government regulated cooperative in Papua New Guinea, Box measures approximately 10 x 6 x 1.5 in, insect measures 5.5 in from head to bottom of thorax, and including legs 7.5 x 3.5 in.
