Medhurst along the Chinese coast. Medhurst was a British missionary, who was among the first to translate the Bible into Chinese language editions and he also issued English-Chinese dictionaries. He undertook the noted vayage two years prior to his death. Plenty of detail is offered as to topography, rivers, lakes, roads towns, cities, etc.
