Pair of Chinese Blue and White Porcelain Bowls
likely Ming Dynasty, 17th century, each of circular form, with steep, slightly flared sides and flared lip with subtle foliate edge, decorated to the exterior with a simple foliate design, the interior centered by a bird in a garden setting, surrounded by floral cartouches and ribbon motifs, the bases glazed and unmarked.

Condition
On one bowl, there is a possible well-integrated repair (slight variation in glaze consistency), though no
repair was detected under white or UV light. On the other bowl, there is a 1/2" vertical hairline crack to
the rim, and there are "flea-bite" chips and scattered abrading to the foot rim. Both vases have light
blooming (cloudiness) to glaze rim and kiln grit on their feet.
