Signed by artist Rick Griffin in the bottom margin of his full color frontispiece. The Oracle of the City of San Francisco, also known as the San Francisco Oracle, was an underground newspaper published in 12 issues from September 20, 1966, to February 1968 in the Haight-Ashbury neighborhood. The Oracle was an early member of the Underground Press Syndicate. Scarce copy with Griffin's signature.
Richard Alden "Rick" Griffin was an American artist and one of the leading designers of psychedelic posters in the 1960s. As a contributor to the underground comix movement, his work appeared regularly in Zap Comix and other iconic publications.
