American, circa 1880. Ansonia iron and slate 8 day mantel clock with open escapement marked Ansonia Clock Co Patented, flanked by standing caryatids on shaped base, the whole with gilt incising and the sides with lion masks. Approx. height 13.4", width 12.15", depth 4.75".
