Description
This is a complete set of 25 signed and numbered Artist's Proofs from Jack Levine's graphic representations of characters and scenes from Bertolt Brecht's Dreigroschen Film (Threepenny Opera), published by Touchstone Publishers, Ltd. in 1967 on BFK Rives wove paper (17.75" x 14"). This was an edition of 100 numbered sets. This is a complete set of the Artist's Proofs, with no number, but with each of the 25 soft ground etchings signed by the artist and noted, in the same hand, as an Artist's Proof. A final description page, noting the particulars of this edition, is also signed Artist's Proof. These are in fine condition, with no flaws of note - no stains, tears, creases or fade. Each is in its original numbered and titled tissue guard. The introductory and closing pages, also in fine condition, are present. The elegant clamshell case (19" x 14.75"), with leather spine, is also in fine condition.
