Description
Elvis Presley's Martin D-18 Blonde Face Acoustic Guitar W/Notarized COA Signed by Charlie Hodge - This stunning blonde face Martin D-18 acoustic guitar once belonged to Elvis Presley, who likely used it during the early 1970s. We spoke with a representative at Martin Guitars, who told us that based on the serial number this guitar was completed in September 1970. According to our seller, the guitar was given to Charlie Hodge in the mid 1970s, as Hodge was Elvis' stage director and personal aide, and also helped him with set lists and occasionally sang harmony on stage with him. The guitar was later purchased by collector Mike L. Moon in 1982 and exhibited and/or stored at his Elvis Museums for over 30 years. This guitar will be accompanied by the original notarized certificate of authenticity from the sale to Mike Moon signed by Charlie Hodge and Ed Hill, along with a second letter of authenticity from "EP Archives" of Las Vegas, Nevada, indicating that the offered piece was among the items purchased from the Mike Moon collection in 2018. Please note: The montage photograph provided with this description is a reference photo of Elvis playing a similar guitar.
