Broadside with printed police photographs of the criminal, JOSEPH CORDOVA (alias JOE GARCIA). Includes crime information, physical description of the accused along with specific details about his multiple tattoos. His complexion is described as "Indian".
"MURDER and HOLD-UP - Wanted for the murder of Patrolman Chas. S. Ford, on the morning of December 14th, 1907 Salt Lake City, Utah. JOSEPH CORDOVA, alias JOE GARCIA...Arrest and hold...TOM D. PITT, Chief of Police Salt Lake City.".
Research reveals that Joseph Cordova/Joe Garcia, accused of murdering a policeman in Salt Lake City, was gunned down by detectives in Seattle, Washington after being betrayed by a friend for reward money. As mug shot photos with an inmate number were available before he was killed, he obviously had a previous arrest record.
Approximate size is 8-1/2" x 10". Condition: fold lines with separations along fold lines. partially trimmed top edge, and edge wear. light soiling and toning. residue on the reverse.
