A Korean folk art painting. Late 19th / early 20th century. The whimsical painting of natural pigments is mounted on a silk brocade scroll and depicts a tiger smoking an opium pipe being held by a rabbit / hare while another rabbit looks on, all within a landscape setting of pine trees, foliage and flowers. The painting measures 27" x 40". The scroll measures 42." x 44". The scroll dowel measures 47" wide.
