Description

A charming faience figure of a youth wearing leopard's skin, Ptolemaic, c. 332 - 20 BC, his body is depicted nude with short curly black hair, spots covering his body suggesting leopard skin, his right hand grasps the ankles of another figure seated atop his shoulders. H: 3 1/4 in (8.3 cm). Light deposits and quite nice. Custom wood base. Ex Orange County private collection.
