Description
This incredibly beautiful c1675 long case/grandfather clock was lovingly restored in 2002 by Alvin C. Kahn.

Below the clock, more hand cut and carved marquetry details of flowers in an urn with a seated bird at the top of the urn. The hand carved window below the bird and flowers is framed by brass and below, additional flowers and leaves.
The case base shows a low urn filled with more flowers and leaves.
The clock case was created in England. The clock itself was made in Amsterdam, with T v Brussel Amsterdam, all hand painted.
Each corner of the clock face is adorned with ormolu cherub faces and delicate scroll details.
This clock does work, has a lovely chime, but has not been tested for accuracy.
Approx measures are 80" x 18 1/4" x 9 1/2".
