Worthington C. Ford's set: complete set, issued over a number of years. Laid in are two autograph letters from McMaster to Worthington C. Ford, three notes from The Nation to Ford, and four photographs; three of the volumes are signed by Ford; volumes four and five with the prospectus; volume seven stamped "Advance Copy"; volume eight with a note in ink and pencil laid in at p.27. Tipped in and laid in are a number of clippings. Worthington Chauncey Ford [1858-1941] was the chief of the Bureau of Statistics for the U.S. Depatment of State, and the Department of the Treasury. From 1902-08 he served as chief of the manuscripts division at The Library of Congress.
