DEMETRIO KREMOS ITALIAN SILVER TRAY. Reticulated rim with design of ribbons and foliate swags over joined arches; engraved monogram in the center; circa late 19th Century. Stamped marks under the base “KREMOS” and a Fleur-de-lis within an oval (a pre-modern era Rome mark); 9 ½ inches diameter; 12.9 ounces. NOTE: Demetrio Kremos worked in Rome with fellow Greek immigrant Sotirios Bulgari from 1880-1884, after which they maintained separate workshops. Bulgari went on to specialize in jewelry and founded the famous company that bears his name.
